Psa 137:1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
:4 How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
:6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
:7 Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Raze it, raze it, even to the foundation thereof. 8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Mat 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and theprophets.
Pro 1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
Scripture must be interpreted by scripture.
That is: anytime we have questions or doubts about a scripture - we need to seek out of the BIBLE more information until we do understand.
Knowing that GOD's Word is TRUE, we totally TRUST every scripture-BUT we must make sure we do not take scriptures out of context. (as JESUS' temptation in the wilderness shows us, that is one of our enemies ways to tempt us).
The WHOLE BIBLE IS INSPIRED. But it RECORDS the evil actions and evil thoughts of evil men as well as GOD's councils, commands, and blessings.
THE ONLY WAY TO NOT GET MIXED UP (nor to be tricked by the enemy through his deceitful twisting of GOD's Word) is by the HOLY SPIRIT! (so, with purity of heart and honest DESIRE to know GOD's Will--we ask GOD to teach us every time we study HIS Word...and Our LOVING FATHER WILL teach us.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Psalms137 we see a Worship Song written to GOD from a captive in the land of Babylon. This captive had seen horrors wrought upon Jerusalem. This captive was calling on GOD's promise (to Abraham) to bless them that bless thee, and to curse them that curse thee.
In that the (horrid) people of Babylon rejoiced as they destroyed Jerusalem, and dashed the little ones of Israel against stones, this captive was pronouncing that one day other horrible people would attack Babylon and in fiendish delight would do the same to their children as they had done to Israel.
Let us not imagine that all this destruction of precious human lives will go unpunished.
Gal 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.Let it be reiterated:
NO ONE NO ONE has the right to MURDER babies!
Deu 27:24
Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.Deu 27:25
Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.Deu 27:26
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
